The Settler

The perfect combination of trendy and classic

The Settlers Trail kitchen is welcoming and inviting, it’s hard not to be automatically drawn to this room when entering the house. Two toned cabinets are a very popular look for kitchens, we wanted to take this current trend and make it a timeless classic.

The painted maple cabinets are soft and neutral enough but still add that much desired visual interest and contrast. The white subway tile backsplash seamlessly merges the different colour cabinets. It offers a sleek, clean look that gives the room a nice airy feel.

Light granite countertops are the perfect way to add a touch of luxury to the overall look. They go perfectly with the other features in the room without taking away from anything. Not only does the granite look stunning but it’s also durable and will never scratch or stain — a very nice feature for a family that likes to cook.

Oil rubbed brass hardware is used throughout the room, giving off a subtle country feel to the space. We used antiqued solid birch for the flooring, a beautiful and clean choice for the entire room. The floor runs into the surrounding rooms of the house, allowing for a continuous look that makes the space look larger. To top off this kitchen and spotlight the amazing features, we installed under counter pot lights as well as pendulum lighting over the island.

This project is the perfect combination of trendy and classic, it is a space that not only looks great but is welcoming and inviting for everyone.
